it almost looks as though you added the raised apple on the chip using PS. True?

NOPE... its all hand done. Cut the circuit boards out myself (using a dremil) then I carved out a bit of the apple so the chip would have a snug fit. There is abosultely no manipulations here, beside adjusting some contrast, levels, and all that good stuff.
